September
During this busy month we learned about history before humans . We learned about the age of dinosaurs. As part of the our writing genre we created a diary entry about how we imagined life to be during this period in history.
We also celebrated European Week of Sport during September. We visited 8 active stations and took part in different activities. It was great fun!
October
We took up daily maths challenges during maths week including making 2d &3d models. We started our class novel Iceman written about Tom Crean which is very descriptive and interesting. We visited Kilmallock Library and we dressed up in scary halloween costumes!
November
We learned hip-hop dancing this month and we created our own dances!
For Science Week we conducted various experiments, the most popular one being the celery experiment!

What an exciting month this has been....we had KBNS'S Got Talent Show!!!
January and February
During January and February we worked on projects on The Normans. We made 3d models of Norman castles including the motte and bailey.
March
As part of our SESE study of Norman life we visited Cahir Castle. We watched an excellent audio visual show on the castle's long history.
To celebrate World Book Day we visited Kilmallock Library!
April and May
We loved reading the novel Little Croker by Joe O'Brien! Danny Wilde wants one thing more than anything else in the world and that’s to get his GAA team, Littlestown Crokes, to the top of the League.
When things go horribly wrong, can they make it after all?
June
As part of the Explorers Programme for Green Schools we visited the sea habitat, Fountainstown beach. We found many sea creatures from crabs to sea snails and many different types of seaweed. We could have spent alot more time exploring and discovering!
