Discover Primary Science & Maths Award

The Discover Primary Science and Maths Programme is part of Science Foundation Ireland’s Education and Public Engagement Programme, which aims to increase interest in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) among students, teachers and members of the public.

We are proud of the fact that we have received the Discover Primary Science and Maths Excellence Award each year since 2005 as a result of our whole school approach to the STEM subjects. The consistent focus on this curricular area is also reflected in our whole school standardised maths tests results where overall scores are well above the national norm.

 

We participate in many other yearly initiatives to promote learning in STEM subjects - Examples would include Maths Week, Science Week and Engineers Week.
